Miss World 1995

Jacqueline María Aguilera Marcano
VENEZUELA

Jacqueline Aguilera, the Venezuelan runner-up to Alicia Machado, Miss Universe 1996, was crowned Miss World 1995 in spectacular Sun City, South Africa. A university student from Nueva Esparta, Jacqueline was 19 years old. Her first words as Miss World 95 were: "I am very happy with my triumph; now what I desire the most is a united world fighting for progress, for the sake of the future of our planet". Many people expected the beautiful and intelligent Miss Korea to finish in the top 3 or even to take it all after her eloquent answer to her final answer. She talked about the role of women in today's society. Without a reasonable explaination, she finished in 5th place. Yun Yon Choe was recently chosen as the most beautiful Miss Korea of all times in Beauland. Miss Croatia, the most elegant woman competing for the crown that year, also gained points when she said that she would love to invite President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela, and the president of her country for dinner.
